Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, Taxi, etc.)
• Insurance claim forms
• Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
• Private sick notes
• Vaccination certificates
• Fitness to travel

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.

Please note that if you are taking part in a sporting/leisure activity such as a marathon, cycling, diving, sky diving etc, the organisation running the event may want your Doctor to complete a medical fitness report.

Patients must pay by cheque or in cash, we do not have a card reader and do not have the facility for change. A receipt will be provided upon payment.

The Practice does also see private patients who are not registered at the Practice, but there is a fee for all vaccinations listed above.
